Iran has threatened to escalate its retaliation against US attacks, following a new series of exchanges, mainly at sea, in the past 24 hours, particularly in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The escalation comes after a decrease in bombings in August, but hostilities resumed on September 30, initiated by Washington, with Tehran responding by targeting neighboring countries.
