About Kodawire

Kodawire is a free news briefing product. We group duplicate reporting into one event, show how left, center, and right outlets framed it, and link you to the originals.

Our mission

Most people only see one version of a story. Kodawire surfaces the spectrum — who emphasized what, what each side agrees on, and where coverage diverges — so you can read with context instead of outrage.

How we work

  • One briefing per event — we merge near-identical articles instead of flooding your feed.
  • Outlet lean comes from human panels and blind surveys; article slant uses text analysis.
  • Factuality and credibility are separate scores with footnotes when claims are disputed.
  • Every story links to source outlets. Headlines belong to publishers; we summarize frames.

Editorial standards

Ratings are research tools, not verdicts. Center does not mean true. We correct errors publicly, list ownership where known, and flag blindspots when one side of the spectrum is under-covered. Read our full trust policy.
