Versova-Madh Island Bridge: Bombay HC Clears Way; 21

The Bombay High Court has cleared the way for the long-pending cable-stayed bridge connecting Madh Island and Versova, allowing the BMC to clear 1,237 mangrove trees across 2.7515 hectares. The proposed bridge will reduce the existing 21-km road journey to around 1.5 km and cut travel time from nearly 1.5 hours to about five minutes.
