Elina Svitolina dismantled Jasmine Paolini in emphatic fashion to send Ukraine through to a first Billie Jean King Cup final with a 2-0 win over defending champions Italy. After Anhelina Kalinina had got the better of debutant Tyra Grant 6-3, 6-4 in the first singles’ match on Saturday, all eyes were on the blockbuster battle between Svitolina and Paolini, who had been on a 10-match victory streak in the tournament.
