PM Modi Urges Fintech Industry To Take UPI Global, Reduce Remittance Costs For Indians Abroad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged India’s fintech industry to expand UPI to more countries and integrate it with local payment systems. Speaking at the Global Fintech Fest, he said UPI is operational in 11 countries and could reduce costs for overseas Indians sending money home. He also called for stronger cybersecurity and ethical data protection standards.
