Plantation Failure: Green Tribunal Flags Poor Survival Of Saplings, Seeks Accountability

The National Green Tribunal’s Central Zone Bench in Bhopal has flagged the poor survival of saplings planted by civic and forest authorities, calling the situation “completely unacceptable”. It ordered replacement of all dead saplings planted over the past five years, sought 100% survival and directed departments to submit a comprehensive report within 30 days.
