Authorities used drones to locate illegal liquor hideouts in forests around Somakhedi near Mandleshwar amid a crackdown following the Sagar hooch tragedy. Around 100 personnel seized 320 litres of illicit hand-bhatti liquor and destroyed 15,200 kg of mahua lahan worth around ₹16 lakh. Eight suspects were arrested and 23 cases registered.
