MP Kids Fall Short On Nutrition: 23% Underweight, 39% Stunted; Rates Far Above National Average

Madhya Pradesh continues to face a severe child nutrition challenge, with 39% of children aged 0-5 stunted, 23% underweight and 7% wasted in August 2026, according to Poshan Tracker. Underweight and wasting rates are more than twice the national averages, while stunting has risen four percentage points in a year.
