‘Might as well disband you’: SC slams UP police for cover-up job

Supreme Court on Wednesday slammed Uttar Pradesh police for not naming the accused in a road accident case despite the complainant catching him on the spot and handing him over to police. It said it would be better if investigations in all criminal cases were handed over to CBI if the state police worked with an agenda and did cover-up jobs.
