Meta India Chief Summoned Over Alleged Instagram Ads Promoting Child Sexual Abuse Material

The NCPCR has summoned Meta India’s Managing Director and Head on September 9 over allegations that Instagram advertisements promoted Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Material. The inquiry follows a BBC Eye report. The NHRC has separately directed Delhi Police to investigate the allegations and examine compliance with mandatory reporting requirements under the POCSO Act.
