Maharashtra Revises Land Acquisition Compensation Formula, Limits 12% Annual Payment Calculation To Base Land

Maharashtra has changed the method for calculating the additional 12% annual payment to landowners during land acquisition. The Revenue Department said the amount will now be based only on the market value of land, excluding the government multiplier factor. The revision follows MSRDC’s request for clarity and aims to reduce disputes in major infrastructure projects.
