London private hospital failures ‘contributed to death of Sir Richard Branson’s wife’

An inquest concluded that a private hospital's failure to provide preventative medication contributed to the death of Sir Richard Branson's wife, Lady Joan Branson.

Lady Joan Branson died after suffering a pulmonary embolism, resulting from deep vein thrombosis, at the private Lister Hospital in Chelsea, owned and operated by HCA Healthcare.
