DOLE reminds NCR employers of pay rules for Nov. 16-18 holidays

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) has reminded employers to observe proper wage rules during the special non-working days on Nov. 16 to 18, declared in connection with the Philippines’ hosting of the 49th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits. Under Labor Advisory No. 16, employees who do not work on the special non-working days will generally follow the “no work, no pay” rule, unless a company policy or collective bargaining agreement provides otherwise.
