Dog Bite Menace In Indore 30,696 Cases In 8 Months, Nearly 130 Daily In August

Indore recorded 30,696 dog-bite cases at Hukamchand Polyclinic during the first eight months of 2026, including 4,024 in August alone, or nearly 130 daily. The numbers remain high despite the Municipal Corporation sterilising around 17,000-18,000 stray dogs over two years. Children accounted for 634 August dog-bite cases.
