Delhi HC Denies Bail To Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam In 2020 Delhi Riots UAPA Case; Here’s What Court Said

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday rejected bail pleas of Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam in the 2020 Northeast Delhi riots larger conspiracy case under UAPA. The court cited the Supreme Court’s January 2026 order denying them bail and said it remained bound by those directions. Both will continue in custody as the trial progresses.
